Ways To Serve

Serve Within the Church

Our church thrives because of the dedication of our volunteers. Here are some ways you can help make Sunday worship and weekly ministries run smoothly:

  • Worship Team: Share your musical or technical talents.
  • Children’s Ministry: Teach and nurture young hearts in their walk with Christ.
  • Hospitality Team: Create a warm, welcoming environment for members and visitors.
  • Prayer Team: Uphold the needs of our church and community through intercessory prayer.
  • Facilities Ministry: Help maintain and beautify our church campus.

Serve in the Community

We are committed to being a light in Somerset and surrounding areas. Join us in outreach projects such as:

  • God’s Food Pantry: Provide meals and supplies to those in need.
  • Community Events: Volunteer at events that bring people together and share God’s love.
  • Partnerships with Local Schools: Support students and teachers through mentorship and school supply drives.
  • Visitation Ministry: Bring comfort and encouragement to the sick, elderly, and homebound.

Serve Globally

God’s mission extends to the ends of the earth, and so do our efforts to share His love. Join us in:

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know where I should serve?
Start by praying about where God is leading you and consider your skills, passions, and availability. You can also reach out to one of our ministry leaders to help you find the right fit.
Do I need experience to volunteer?
No experience is necessary! Many roles provide on-the-job training, and our leaders will guide and support you as you serve.
Can I serve even if I’m new to the church?
Absolutely! Serving is a great way to meet others and feel more connected to our church family.
How much time is required to volunteer?
It depends on the role. Some opportunities, like Sunday morning ministries, may only require a few hours a week, while others, like mission trips, might require more of a time commitment.
Are there opportunities for families to serve together?
Yes! We encourage families to serve together when possible. Roles like greeting, participating in community outreach, or packing 58:10 meals are great for families.
What if I sign up and realize the role isn’t for me?
That’s okay! We want you to find a role where you feel fulfilled and effective. If you’d like to try something else, just let us know.
Can I suggest a new way to serve?
We’re always open to new ideas! If you feel God is leading you to start a new ministry or service opportunity, contact us to discuss your vision.
