Become a Member

We’re excited to have you consider East Somerset as the place you want to belong.

There are two ways to move forward with the membership process. You can schedule a visit with one of our pastors or you can go through our Covenant Membership Class.

Our Covenant Membership Class is the place to go to hear about what we believe God is up to in the world, what He is doing at East Somerset, and it also provides us an opportunity to get to know you and your story.

• We want to honor your time in the class. So, we ask that before the class, you complete some reading and watch some videos, as well as prepare your salvation story to share.

• The class will last for two hours and will consist of a time to learn about the story of East Somerset and share your own salvation story. In the first session, we’ll cover East Somerset culture and what’s currently happening, how to get involved in our various ministries and have a time for Q&A. In the second session, you’ll meet other people at your table and have the opportunity to briefly share your story.

• After the class, your membership will be voted on by the church, and you will be contacted by East Somerset to affirm your membership or to provide the necessary next steps toward membership. Then, at the next Celebration Service, we’ll affirm the covenant and celebrate our new members.
