How To Be Saved

While an eternal relationship with God is Infinitely profound, He has made it incredibly simple. This is what His Word says you must know and do for that to become your reality forever!

God loves you.

He knows all about you, and regardless of your background, age, race or any other factor, He longs to have a real relationship with you that will never end. The Bible states simply, “For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (Jn. 3:16)

We each have a fatal problem.

No one is perfect. We have all done wrong; we have broken God’s commandments. This is called sin. The Bible reveals what we really already know in our hearts, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)

The consequence of our sin is devastating.

Romans 6:23 tells us, “For the wages of sin is death…” Because of sin, we are dead spiritually, guilty and condemned, cut off from God. For those who die in that condition, the separation and condemnation are eternal in a real place called Hell. (Rev. 20:15-21). The “wages” or consequence of our sin is inescapable and must be paid.

Jesus died on the cross for our sins!

God loved us so much He provided the solution for our hopeless condition.  Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
After dying for us, Jesus rose from the dead, breaking the power of sin and death and making it possible for us to live as well. Now, we each have a choice: Stay as we are, lost and condemned, or accept the gift of all He did and is, “…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom. 6:23b)

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

To receive the gift of forgiveness and eternal life, we must do the one thing God requires: “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31) It is as simple as ABC… Acknowledge that you have sinned and need a Savior. Believe that He died for you and will forgive and save you. Call upon Him in faith, accepting Him as your Savior. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13).

Believing, pray now, and your new life in Christ will begin.
